I was thrilled to see that New York legalized "gay marriage" -- I put it in quotes because I don't think it should be considered special. It's really just allowing two people who love each other and want to be married to get married. I think of it as supporting marriage. Or being together.
I don't understand how two men, or women, getting married cheapens my marriage, or the concept of "marriage" in general. I would think that adultery, domestic violence and verbal abuse, and other forms of betrayal or abuse would denigrate the concept of "marriage" far more. But no-one seems to believe that. Guess I just don't get it.
Now, if California would only do the same soon . . .
